A foot injury prevented Smith from playing in Stanford's final three games, including the Cardinal's 14-13 win over Pittsburgh in the Sun Bowl on Monday. Prior to getting hurt, Smith had been among the nation's most productive tight ends, hauling in 47 passes for 635 yards and two scores across nine games. Incoming junior Colby Parkinson is the leading candidate to top Stanford's depth chart at the position in 2019.
