2025 Receiving Projections

X-rays come back negative
Lewis (head) had his X-rays come back negative after he was stretchered off the field following a scary collision, per Colton Sulley of The Oklahoman.
ANALYSIS
Lewis hit his head on the brick wall in the back of the end zone and was immediately taken off the field. It was an alarming collision, but the receiver appears to have avoided the worst as his X-rays are negative and he's reportedly up and walking around in the Sooners' training room, which is a good sign as well. The receiver remains likely done for the day, but this is a positive update after Lewis appeared seriously banged up.

2022 Fantasy Outlook
Lewis was included amongst an influx of transfer portal talent for the Badgers this offseason, though he was the only such addition at pass catcher. Lewis appeared in 11 games for UCLA last season but he has yet to record a reception in his collegiate career. The sophomore comes in with a strong body to build on, standing at 6-foot-3 and 197 pounds, and his ability as a run blocker should justify him a consistent spot on the field in Wisconsin’s run-first offense. While it’s unlikely the Badgers will ever stray from their dominant rushing identity, the addition of first-time offensive coordinator Bobby Engram could signal a shift toward a more creative passing game. Lewis won’t ever see a major number of targets as a rotational wideout, but he could be a sneaky red-zone threat given his large frame and usage as a run blocker in short yardage situations.
