Will not start Week 4
September 15, 2025
Weaver will not be the starting quarterback for Saturday's game against Fresno State, Stephen Tsai of the Honolulu Star-Advertiser reports.
ANALYSIS
Weaver was meant to be a temporary replacement for Micah Alejado, who is healthy enough to start Week 4's game between Hawaii and Fresno State. This comes after a relatively impressive bounce-back run of two games in which Weaver logged 53 completions for 534 yards and five touchdowns with only one interception. However, they were against a Conference USA team and a non-FBS side respectively, not quite the caliber of a fellow Mountain West Conference university like Fresno State.
