Ready for next stage
January 6, 2023
Mims announced Friday via his personal Twitter account that he's declared for the 2023 NFL Draft.
ANALYSIS
After an accomplished three-year tenure at Oklahoma, Mims will partake in the upcoming NFL Draft following Friday's announcement. The Texas native has led the Sooners in receiving yards each season since he stepped foot on campus back in 2020, while his career totals of 123 receptions, 2,398 yards and 20 touchdowns should make him an attractive draft prospect.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2022
2021
After all the offseason turmoil in Norman, the Sooners still have a go-to receiver in Mims. He is coming off an odd season in that he appeared bound for an eruption in target volume only to see it decrease from 51 to 41. He was extremely efficient with his opportunities with a 78 percent catch rate at 17.8 YPT. With several OU receivers gone, look for Mims to become more involved this season in an explosive offense designed by former Ole Miss coordinator Jeff Lebby and led by UCF transfer quarterback Dillon Gabriel. A bounce back season is coming for Mims in 2022.
The No.1 target in the Oklahoma offense is always a top fantasy option and Mims is the latest to hold that crown. He debuted last season to not only lead the Sooners in every major receiving category, Mims also led all freshmen in receiving touchdowns (9) on 51 targets. That touchdown efficiency will regress, and Oklahoma’s depth at receiver makes it tough to project a major target volume increase on a per-game basis, but Mims remains an explosive player with a significant role in arguably the nation’s best passing offense. Take note.
