Nicholas Vattiato

Chase Cunningham was cruising for the Blue Raiders until he suffered a serious leg injury that ended his season. Vattiato got the first chance to start in his stead, and in his first outing he threw five picks against Western Kentucky. Even so, he continued to see action and finished with six touchdowns and seven interceptions. Cunningham is still on the team, but will he be ready to go after his leg injury? If he is, Cunningham will take the job back, no questions asked. If he's not, though, the Vattiato will keep his seat warm so to speak. There isn't a real quarterback competition.
