Maiava-Peters won't participate during the rest of spring practices due to a knee injury, though it's not believed to be a serious issue, Jay Drew of the Salt Lake Tribune reports.
ANALYSIS
Running backs coach Harvey Unga said Maiava-Peters "could possibly make it back in about a week," but the team will instead play it safe in an attempt to avoid reinjury. The quarterback appeared in one game during his freshman campaign last season and completed seven of 12 passes for 47 yards with zero touchdowns and one interception, and he also rushed 14 times for 96 yards and one score.
