2023 Fantasy Outlook
With Deuce Vaughn moving on to the NFL, Ward decided to transfer from Florida State to compete for the top running back spot in Manhattan, Kansas. He has quite the act to follow as Vaughn racked up an astonishing 1,936 yards from scrimmage in 2022. He won’t be tasked to do it all by himself as DJ Giddens returns after racking up 89 carries for 518 yards (5.82 yards per carry) and six touchdown last season. Ward was even more impressive at 6.6 yards per carry with 95 carries for 628 yards and seven touchdowns for the Semioles. Both backs should have plenty room to run with all five offensive linemen returning for what is one of the most experienced units in the nation. Kansas State should contend for the conference title in 2023.
