2025 Fantasy Outlook
Gleason stepped up in the 2024 season as the starter for the Rockets and ended up being one of the top quarterbacks in the MAC conference. The 6-foot-3 quarterback threw for 2,793 yards, 24 touchdowns and just eight interceptions, landing second in touchdown passes and fourth in passing yards within the conference. Although he'll lose wide receiver Jerjuan Newton and tight end Anthony Torres, who both moved on to the NFL, top pass catcher Junior Vandeross will return for his senior season, along with many new faces to fill out the Rockets' offense. Gleason and Vandeross already developed a dynamic connection last year, so the pair should be destined for some great things once again. This puts Gleason in another favorable position in a pass-heavy offense, no matter Toledo's ability to win games in 2025. Read Past Outlooks
Can't get things going in blowout
Gleason completed 26 of 41 passes for 238 yards, one touchdown and one interception during Saturday's 28-7 defeat against Washington State. He also had six rushes for 13 yards.
ANALYSIS
Gleason ended with a serviceable stat line in the loss to the Cougars, but he really couldn't get things going, even with a high passing volume. The starting quarterback threw for just one touchdown in the first half of the game, and he then couldn't replicate it in the second half. Gleason will look to turn things around for the Rockets against Northern Illinois next Wednesday.
