Gleason stepped up in the 2024 season as the starter for the Rockets and ended up being one of the top quarterbacks in the MAC conference. The 6-foot-3 quarterback threw for 2,793 yards, 24 touchdowns and just eight interceptions, landing second in touchdown passes and fourth in passing yards within the conference. Although he'll lose wide receiver Jerjuan Newton and tight end Anthony Torres, who both moved on to the NFL, top pass catcher Junior Vandeross will return for his senior season, along with many new faces to fill out the Rockets' offense. Gleason and Vandeross already developed a dynamic connection last year, so the pair should be destined for some great things once again. Inefficient passing in blowout win
Gleason completed 18 of 31 passes for 169 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions during Wednesday's 24-3 win against Miami (OH). He also had four rushes for 23 yards.
ANALYSIS
Gleason wasn't great as a passer in the win over the RedHawks, logging his worst completion percentage and passing yard total since Week 4. The senior quarterback, luckily, didn't need to be amazing in the air, as the Rockets went up early and sustained a comfortable lead throughout the game. He'll hopefully return to the dominant level of play that he's capable of next Saturday against Ball State.
