Headed to NFL
December 1, 2022
Flowers announced Thursday that he will forgo his remaining eligibility at Boston College to enter the 2023 NFL Draft, Trevor Hass of The Boston Globe reports.
ANALYSIS
Despite playing for a subpar Boston College offense as a fourth-year senior in 2022, Flowers was highly productive, finishing with 78 catches for 1,077 yards and 12 touchdowns over 12 appearances. His departure creates a massive void at receiver for the Eagles, who could look to the transfer portal this offseason to restock talent at the position.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2022
2021
The Eagle offense hit the skids after quarterback Phil Jurkovec suffered an injury and Flowers’ production took a hit as a result. Flowers and Jurkovec were showing strong chemistry prior to the injury and it reignated when Jurkovec returned late in 2021. Jurkovec returning means the runway is clear for Flowers to have a full season with quality quarterback play. Flowers in his own right is a big play waiting to happen, having averaged 16.2 yards per reception over 122 catches through three seasons. A 1,000-yard season for Flowers is expected if the tandem stays healthy.
Boston College reshaped its offense in 2020, going from having the sixth-highest rushing play rate in FBS the prior year to the 104th. Flowers was a huge beneficiary of that scheme change as his target ballooned from 42 in 13 games to 106 in 11 outings. He answered the bell with a 8.4 YPT mark and nine touchdowns and his big-play ability was on display on several occasions with three games over 150 yards. Another year in this system with returning quarterback Phil Jurkovec suggests that Flowers has the chance to reach another level with his production in 2021.
