After the team failed to qualify for Stage 1 relegation it seemed likely GGEA Purple would part ways with its European roster, leaving just GGEA Orange as the only affiliate left under its brand. While GGEA Purple always was in contention for a pool play spot heading into open events, they really only performed well at the CWL Birmingham Open, which makes sense given it was a European-based event. Defrag will hit free agency as a result of the transaction.
