While Fate had his hands full during the Valiant's 3-2 win over the Gladiators earlier in the day, he was back in full force against the Excelsior. He was making big play after big play, especially with his Earthshatters on Reinhardt as the hero was giving New York fits. The fact that he was playing so strong against a tank core as formidable as the Excelsior's should give the Valiant plenty of confidence going into the playoffs this summer. It's true that the Excelsior were likely playing things a bit close to the chest, but this win is still a solid one nonetheless.
