Wins SeatStory Cup V
Lifecoach defeated J4CKIECHAN in a close 4-3 match in the finals of SeatStory Cup V.
ANALYSIS
Lifecoach had a somewhat rocky road to the finals of the fifth annual SeatStory Cup. He started off the first Group Stage with a 2-0 victory that propelled him into the second Group Stage. This stage brought him a bit more opposition than what he found in the first stage, as he was dropped down into the loser's bracket of Group A. He eventually prevailed, though, taking a 3-1 series against Xixo on the back of his own version of Miracle Rogue. He then moved on to the quarterfinals of the playoffs where he faced Eloise. There, he won the series fairly easily by a 4-1 score. He took two games with his Rogue and another two with his Totem Shaman. It was after this match that things got really tough for LIfecoach, with both his semifinal and final match going the distance. In the semifinals, he faced G2 teammate Thjis and got off to a pretty good lead with a 2-1 start. From that point on, he and Thjis traded games until Lifecoach finally prevailed in a Game 7 that saw his C'Thun Warrior take down the Beast Druid from Thjis. Moving on to the finals, Lifecoach took on J4CKIECHAN and faced another tough matchup. He got off to a 3-1 lead, but then lost two straight to the Dragon Warlock from J4CKIECHAN. Lifecoach was able to close out the series in Game 7 with his Totem Shaman. With the win, Lifecoach claimed the $10,000 prize and bragging rights until the next edition of SeatStory Cup. He will now be looking towards the Summer Prelims to try and make his way to the Hearthstone World Championship at BlizzCon this fall.
