Gabriel signed a contract with Maccabi, the team announced Wednesday via its official website.

ANALYSIS
Gabriel will head to Europe after spending six seasons in either the NBA or the G League, and he will link up with the only EuroLeague team in Israel for a year and perhaps another, as the deal includes an option for a second go-around. The 27-year-old has appeared in an even 150 NBA games and averaged a double-double across 26 G League appearances last season, so he figures to be one of the primary options in a new-look Maccabi frontcourt.
