Red Bull have confirmed that Ricciardo will return to the squad - with whom he won seven Grands Prix - as third driver for 2023, Formula1.com reports.

Ricciardo was released from McLaren at the conclusion of the 2022 season. He will now come on board at Red Bull and serve as a third, reserve driver. Ricciardo's primary tasks will be to assist with testing and do simulator work for Red Bull. The 33-year-old veteran will embrace this new roll to stay active and participating in F1.
