Colapinto finished 18th in the Hungarian Grand Prix Formula 1 race at the Hungaroring circuit on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
The Alpine youngster qualified 14th on the grid but any hopes of a good finish quickly evaporated. Colapinto would drop four spots on the opening lap and play catchup the rest of the grand prix. A two-stop strategy would largely allow him to regain those lost positions, but down the stretch tyre degradation and loss of pace would mire him in the back of the field. Colapinto would pick up one spot after the checkered flag and finish P18 with the 10-second penalty to Pierre Gasly.
