Colapinto finished 16th in the Singapore Grand Prix Formula 1 race at the Marina Bay Circuit on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Alpine's struggles continued Sunday on the Marina Bay Circuit in Singapore. Colapinto would fail to advance out of Q1 on Saturday and would end up P16 on the starting grid. He would open the grand prix on soft tyres and pit early on lap 14 to switch to hards. Colapinto would get locked in a mid-race battle with Nico Hulkenberg and it would be noted by the stewards for contact but no penalties would result. The Alpine youngster would climb to P12 in the latter half of the race but shed several spots down the stretch as his tyres went away and cross the finish line in P16.
