2025 Projections
Staying in NOLA
The Saints signed DiNucci to a reserve/future contract Monday.
ANALYSIS
DiNucci spent most of the 2024 regular season without a team after being cut by the Bills at the end of training camp in late August, but he managed to catch on with the Saints' practice squad Dec. 10. He hasn't seen regular-season action since 2020 with the Cowboys, but he put together a successful 2023 XFL campaign with the Seattle Sea Dragons and will have a chance to earn a spot on New Orleans' roster during training camp next summer.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Carr injury creates opportunity
DiNucci has a better chance of earning a roster spot with the Saints and could even compete for the starting job in light of Ian Rapoport of NFL Network's report that Derek Carr is dealing with a shoulder injury that could cause Carr to miss a significant portion of the season.
ANALYSIS
The three healthy quarterbacks currently with the organization are DiNucci, Spencer Rattler and Jake Haener, though the Saints could still add to the position via the draft or free agency. DiNucci, Rattler and Haener have combined to post a record of 0-8 in their NFL careers, so an open competition between the three quarterbacks in training camp is possible if the Saints don't bolster their quarterback room.
