DiNucci landed a spot on the Broncos' practice squad Wednesday, Aric Dilalla of the team's official website reports.
ANALYSIS
DiNucci spent his first three seasons with the Cowboys on both their active roster and practice squad before joining the Broncos in May. He was competing with Jarrett Stidham for the backup role behind Russell Wilson under center but ultimately came up short. Now, he will be the team's de facto No. 3 quarterback via the practice squad.

2023 Denver Broncos Preview: Roster Moves, Depth Chart, Schedule, Storylines and More
58 days ago
With Sean Payton on board as head coach, the Broncos will hope that change does Russell Wilson and company well in the QB's second campaign in Denver.
Past Fantasy Outlooks
2021
2020
Dak Prescott's injury allowed DiNucci to make his NFL debut last year, but the seventh-round rookie unsurprisingly looked overmatched. He'll battle Garrett Gilbert for the No. 2 spot on the depth chart, but DiNucci likely needs at least one more year of development before he can be trusted under center.
A seventh-round pick in 2020 out of FCS James Madison, DiNucci has the arm strength and mobility to someday be an NFL-caliber quarterback, but he'll need a lot of development time to get there. For now, he'll hold a clipboard or work with the practice squad in Dallas while Dak Prescott and Andy Dalton handle gameday snaps.
