Declares for NFL Draft
WRFree Agent
January 6, 2026
Tate will enter the 2026 NFL Draft, per Pete Thamel of ESPN.com.
ANALYSIS
Tate spent three years at Ohio State and progressively got better in the wide receiver factory that is the Buckeyes' program. The former five-star wideout caught 51 passes for 875 yards and nine touchdowns in 2025, a career year. Now, he'll forgo his remaining eligibility and set his sights on the NFL, where the 6-foot-3, 195-pound pass-catcher should draw the interest of plenty of franchises.

Could land with Giants
WRFree Agent
January 6, 2026
Jordan Reid of ESPN projects that the Giants will select Tate with the fifth overall pick in his mock draft published Jan. 6.
ANALYSIS
Tate officially declared for the draft Tuesday and is in contention to be the top wide receiver taken, along with USC's Makai Lemon and Arizona's Jordan Tyson. Tate had a strong junior season at Ohio State, recording 51 receptions for 875 yards and nine touchdowns. The Giants are seemingly a realistic landing spot, as Wan'Dale Robinson is a free agent, and Tate would form a strong duo with Malik Nabers to work with QB Jaxson Dart.
