2025 Fantasy Outlook
After making one forgettable start as a rookie fifth-round pick in 2023, Tune served as Kyler Murray's primary backup last season but experienced spot duty in just six contests, completing both of his passes for eight yards, taking seven carries for minus-4 yards and losing his only fumble. The Cardinals signed veteran QB Jacoby Brissett to a two-year, $12.5 million contract this offseason, and Tune was waived during roster cut-downs in August. Read Past Outlooks
Cut after Week 18 start
The Packers cut Tune on Tuesday.
ANALYSIS
After being locked into the No. 7 seed in the NFC playoffs heading into Week 18, the Packers opted to make normal starter Jordan Love active in a backup role for the regular-season finale, while No. 2 quarterback Malik Willis (shoulder/hamstring) was inactive. As a result, the Packers turned to Tune to make a spot start in the regular-season finale, with the 26-year-old attempting just 11 passes as Green Bay rolled out a conservative game plan in a 16-3 loss to the Vikings. Both Love and Willis are on track to be available for Saturday's wild-card game in Chicago, and the Packers have now opted to part ways with Tune. Green Bay will still keep a third quarterback on its roster for the playoffs, however, as Desmond Ridder was signed off the practice squad in a corresponding move. Over his two appearances for Green Bay, Tune completed just seven of 15 passes for 42 yards and an interception while carrying five times for 23 yards.

2023
As a 2023 fifth-round pick, Tune was in a position to see the field early in his career due to Kyler Murray's recovery from a torn ACL extending into the regular season. However, the Cardinals released Colt McCoy and traded for Joshua Dobbs in late August, and the latter ended up starting the first eight games before he was shipped to Minnesota. Tune then started Week 9, completing 11 of 20 passes for 58 yards and two interceptions before yielding to Murray for the rest of the year. Arizona acquired Desmond Ridder from the Falcons this offseason, but Tune ended up winning a summer competition for the No. 2 QB job.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Potential Week 18 starter
Tune could be called upon to start Green Bay's regular-season finale against the Vikings, as head coach Matt LaFleur was non-committal after Saturday's 41-24 loss to the Ravens regarding the availability of Jordan Love and Malik Willis, per Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com.
ANALYSIS
Love missed the Week 17 loss to the Ravens due to a concussion, while Willis exited the game due to a shoulder injury. Willis was reportedly healthy enough to come back in had the game been closer, but the Packers could opt to exercise a cautious approach with their banged-up quarterback room, as Green Bay has clinched a playoff spot but also been eliminated from contention to win the NFC North. Tune mopped up after Willis' injury Saturday, and it's possible Tune will be called upon to make the second regular-season start of his NFL career in Week 18 if the Packers prioritize preserving the health of Love and Willis for the playoffs.
