Cooper DeJean

22-Year-Old CornerbackCB
Philadelphia Eagles
2025 Fantasy Outlook
A fractured fibula caused DeJean to fall into the second round of the 2024 Draft, but he already looks to be a steal for the Eagles just one year into his pro career. He was mostly limited to special teams duty before the team's Week 5 bye, but the versatile defensive back took over as the starting nickel Week 6 and went on to become a key part of the defense, finishing fifth on the team with 51 tackles, forcing one fumble and recovering three. He capped his rookie season with a pick-six in the Super Bowl and finished fourth in Defensive Rookie of the Year voting. Read Past Outlooks

2024 Fantasy Outlook
The Eagles selected DeJean out of Iowa in the second round (40th overall) of the 2024 NFL Draft. He was considered a potential first-round talent, but a fractured fibula in November which cut short his final college season and caused him to skip the combine may have led to him slipping down the board. He was cleared for all football activities in early April and appears primed for a versatile role in Philadelphia's secondary, just like he had at Iowa, where he ended his college career with seven interceptions in 31 games.

Working at outside corner
CBPhiladelphia Eagles
June 24, 2025
DeJean worked at outside cornerback when the Eagles were in their base defense during offseason practices, Brooks Kubena of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
DeJean had a strong rookie season in a part-time role while working almost exclusively in the slot. It's unclear if the Eagles will continue their experiment of playing him outside in training camp and the regular season, but the move would have a significant impact on the team's defensive alignment. Kelee Ringo would be relegated to a reserve role, while rookie Andrew Mukuba would reportedly be the top candidate to shift to the slot.
