2022 Fantasy Outlook
Reed was drafted by the Chargers in the fifth-round of the 2020 NFL Draft, but he's failed to see much playing time during his stint in Los Angeles. Primarily the team's kick returner when healthy, Reed is expected to face heavy competition for the role from newcomer DeAndre Carter who signed with the Chargers this offseason and who is also a more well-rounded receiver at this juncture in their respective careers. Signs up with Chicago
The Bears signed Reed to a reserve/future contract Thursday.
ANALYSIS
Reed has spent the past three seasons with the Chargers, though he did not appear in a game over the past two seasons while residing on the team's practice squad. The 6-foot, 224-pound wideout will now look to carve out a role in a Bears receiving corps that lacked any significant contributors this regular season.

A 2020 fifth-round pick, Reed ultimately never rebounded from a poor training camp, earning just 27 offensive snaps in a lost rookie season. While he did emerge as a capable returner, the emergence of Jalen Guyton and Tyron Johnson pushed the 23-year-old down the depth chart and it's hard to imagine Reed leaping over the aforementioned duo, plus 2021 third-round pick Josh Palmer, in a crowded wide receiving corps.
