It's presumably the first action Sutherland has seen since he was cut by Seattle prior to Week 1. Buffalo is likely looking for insurance at safety because it's unclear when Jordan Poyer (knee) will be ready to play again.

ANALYSIS
Henderson lists Sutherland and wide receiver Jake Bobo as the undrafted rookies with the best chance of making the team. Bobo had the more eye-popping stat line in Thursday's preseason opener against the Vikings, with 55 yards and a touchdown, while Sutherland delivered three tackles and one quarterback hit. The undrafted safety out of Penn State could help fill in if Jamal Adams' recovery from a quadriceps injury lingers into the regular season.
