Grugier-Hill split time between the Texans and Cardinals last season, totaling 48 tackles across 15 appearances. That production came after Grugier-Hill registered a career-best 108 tackles in 2021. In joining the Panthers, he figures to provide a veteran option along with Shaq Thompson, Frankie Luvu and Deion Jones at the team's inside linebacker positions. Read Past Outlooks

Leads team in tackles
Grugier-Hill recorded a team-high 10 tackles (seven solo) in Sunday's 37-27 loss to the Seahawks.
ANALYSIS
While Grugier-Hill was only on the field for 46 snaps (65 percent), he made his presence felt. He is seeing an expanded role due to Shaq Thompson (lower leg) being sidelined for the season. The veteran will look to stay hot in Week 4 when the Panthers host the Vikings.

Dan Marcus highlights Week 4 IDP options, including Carolina's Kamu Grugier-Hill, whose defensive snaps have increased significantly following an unfortunate injury to Shaq Thompson.

With the return of Josey Jewell, Jonas Griffith should garner more snaps than Alex Singleton going forward as the No. 2 linebacker.

Jordan Mazzara covers top IDP hits and misses, starting with Grover Stewart, who had 12 tackles for the Colts in Week 7's loss to the Titans.

With Carson Wentz reportedly on his way out, the Colts should have plenty of cap space but may nonetheless find it difficult to secure a sizable upgrade at QB.
2022 Fantasy Outlook
Rebuilding teams sometimes offer opportunities for players that have yet to establish themselves in the NFL. That was what the Texans offered Grugier-Hill, who toiled in obscurity for five seasons with Philadelphia and Miami. Given a chance as a full-time starter at outside linebacker, Grugier-Hill grabbed the opportunity. He recorded 108 tackles over 14 starts, nearly equaling the total he had in five previous seasons, three sacks, and doubled his career totals with 13 tackles for loss. His signature moment came in Week 11 when he had a game-changing interception in a road win over the Titans. The Texans didn't waste time signing Grugier-Hill during the offseason, and he'll return at outside linebacker.
