2025 Fantasy Outlook
Suamataia struggled significantly in his rookie year, in which he started two of 15 regular-season appearances. The Chiefs will hope that transitioning the 2024 second-round pick from tackle, where he spent his entire college career at BYU, to left guard can better position Suamataia to contribute in the NFL. He'll get a chance to compete with Mike Caliendo for the starting gig. Read Past Outlooks

Could be benched for Morris
OGKansas City Chiefs
September 15, 2024
Suamataia was replaced by Wanya Morris at left tackle for the final drive of Sunday's 26-25 win over the Bengals, per Sam McDowell of The Kansas City Star, and coach Andy Reid wouldn't commit to a starter at the position in Week 3 against the Falcons, Pete Sweeney of Arrowhead Pride reports.
ANALYSIS
Suamataia struggled against Cincinnati's pass rush and committed a key penalty in the fourth quarter prior to being benched for Morris. The two young left tackles competed for the starting job in training camp, and they may find themselves rotating again in practice before a starter is named for Week 3.
