2025 Fantasy Outlook
Johnson won his second Super Bowl and made his sixth Pro Bowl in his 12th NFL season last year. The right tackle will be 35 years old this season but still has plenty in the tank, signing an extension in March that will keep him an Eagle (the only team he's ever played for) through 2027. November 17, 2025
Johnson (foot) has been diagnosed with a Lisfranc sprain and is expected to be sidelined four-to-six weeks, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports.
ANALYSIS
Johnson is among the best right tackles in the NFL, so this is a massive loss for the Philadelphia offense. If the timeline holds true, the veteran should be back in time for a potential playoff push. Losing Johnson could mean a downgrade in fantasy upside for both Jalen Hurts and Saquon Barkley. Fred Johnson should be the next man up at right tackle for the Eagles after he filled in against the Lions in Week 11.

Johnson made the fourth Pro Bowl of his 10-year career last season. The veteran right tackle hasn't played a full season since 2015, though his 15 games played last year were his highest mark since 2018.
Johnson started 13 games last season, his highest total since 2018. He'll start at right tackle again this year.
Johnson is the Eagles' starting right tackle.
Johnson said he was in the best shape of his life when he reported to OTAs in May. After another standout season, in which he was named to Pro Football Focus’s All-NFL First Team, Johnson is looking to have Pro Bowl-level impact this season. He’ll start at right tackle.
Johnson, the fourth overall pick in 2013, was a strong run blocker as a rookie at the right tackle position, though his pass blocking needs improvement. He'll serve a four-game suspension to start the year, however, after testing positive for PEDs.
The fourth overall pick in the 2013 draft, Johnson is an immensely athletic tackle who will start on the right side for the Eagles as a rookie. With just two years of experience at tackle (Johnson was a quarterback and tight end before that), Johnson brings both rawness and upside.

Might return for stretch run
OTPhiladelphia Eagles
November 17, 2025
Johnson suffered a foot sprain Sunday that is expected to sideline him for 4-to-6 weeks, but it's not believed to be a season-ending injury, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
ANALYSIS
The veteran right tackle is likely headed for IR, but that timeline could have him return as soon as a Week 16 game against the Commanders, and even the full six weeks would still have Johnson back in time for the playoffs. Fred Johnson took over at right tackle for the Eagles on Sunday in a win over the Lions after the six-time Pro Bowler exited the contest.
