ANALYSIS
Davidson was placed on injured reserve just two weeks after signing with the Texans after getting injured in the team's first preseason game, per Wilson. It's unclear if this injury is related to his previous bicep issue that kept him out for the entire 2024 season. The 27-year-old was used as a depth piece the last time he saw game action, when he appeared in five regular-season games for the Titans in 2023 and accounted for 10 tackles (six solo), including 1.0 sacks.

Davidson, a 2020 second-round pick, appeared in 11 games last year and registered 21 tackles, one sack, one interception and one fumble recovery across 262 defensive snaps. The Alabama product is expected to be the starting defensive end opposite of Grady Jarrett to start the 2022 campaign, so he'll have plenty of opportunities to take another step forward in Year 3.
