2023 Projections
2023 Fantasy Outlook
Selected in the third round of the 2022 Draft, Corral missed his entire rookie campaign after suffering a left foot injury during the preseason. Although the Panthers subsequently saw three quarterbacks from last season's roster (Sam Darnold, PJ Walker and Jacob Eason) depart this offseason, Corral nonetheless figures to occupy a reserve role, once healthy. That's because Carolina drafted signal-caller Bryce Young with the first overall pick this spring and signed accomplished veteran Andy Dalton to serve as the backup. Given the situation, Corral is likely to fill the third-string role in 2023. Read Past Outlooks

Healthy to start OTAs
Head coach Frank Reich said Corral (foot) participated in the opening installment of OTAs, Anthony Rizzuti of USA Today reports.
ANALYSIS
Corral was a third-round pick by the Panthers in 2022 but missed his entire rookie season after undergoing Lisfranc surgery in early September. Carolina signed Andy Dalton and traded up for No. 1 overall pick Bryce Young this offseason, so despite being healthy, Corral finds himself competing for a roster spot in Year 2.

2022 Fantasy Outlook
Corral is slightly undersized but has an above-average arm, a quick release and mobility. He
has a bit of gunslinger in him, which in college sometimes led to ill-advised passes and lowering
his shoulder on the run. Reining in those tendencies without losing his aggressiveness will be
important to his development. As will working through progressions after playing in an RPO,
one-read offense at Mississippi. He'll get the chance in Carolina, though. The Panthers said the
starting QB job is "up for grabs," and the team made no secret of its desire to improve from Sam
Darnold this offseason (they also traded for Baker Mayfield). All three QBs have to learn new OC Ben McAdoo's offense, and McAdoo
reportedly was the driving force behind drafting Corral (third round). Mayfield will be the Week 1 starter, but it isn't inconceivable for Corral to take snaps at some point later in the season.
