Injury Knee
Est. Return 2/12/2024
2023 Fantasy Outlook
Hennessy, who started all 17 games at center in 2021, has battled a lingering knee injury for almost a year and was relegated to backup duties in 2022, but he's expected to be healthy for Week 1 of 2023. When available, the 2020 third-round pick will compete with rookie second-round pick Matthew Bergeron for the starting left guard spot now that Elijah Wilkinson is in Arizona. Read Past Outlooks

Placed on IR
Atlanta placed Hennessy (knee) on injured reserve Wednesday, Scott Bair of the Falcons' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Hennessy suffered a knee injury in late July and was sidelined for two weeks, despite optimism that the issue was minor. However, the 2020 third-round pick, who's dealt with lingering knee issues for two years, will now be forced to miss the entire 2023 campaign, barring an injury settlement. In his absence, rookie second-round pick Matthew Bergeron is slated to start at right guard to open the regular season.
