Over 17 appearances, McLeod logged 96 tackles (59 solo) and eight passes defended, including two interceptions, as well as a fumble recovery during the 2022 campaign.
ANALYSIS
McLeod emerged into a starting role three games into his first year with the Colts. The 32-year-old safety, who spent the previous six seasons with Philadelphia, also appeared in every regular-season contest for the first time since the 2019 campaign. As a result, he posted career highs in tackles and passes defended to go along with the third pick-six of his career. McLeod played on a one-year, $1.77 million contract with Indianapolis this season, so he's now set to become an unrestricted free agent again this offseason.

In Week 14 least year, McLeod suffered his second ACL tear in three seasons. While the 31-year-old has said he hopes to be in uniform for Week 1, it isn't uncommon for recovery to take up to a calendar year, so counting on him in the first half of 2021 is a risky proposition, at best. When healthy, McLeod has been consistent, registering at least 72 tackles in all five seasons in which he has played 16 games since 2013.
After missing most of the previous year due to a torn ACL, McLeod returned in 2019 and played all 16 games, putting up comparable numbers to what he's done for his whole career. He re-signed with the Eagles in March and is the lone returning starter from the last season's secondary after the team released Malcolm Jenkins. The 30-year-old will look to provide stability while Jalen Mills learns the position alongside him. The Virginia product should be a lock to put up another 70 tackles and between five and seven pass breakups in 2020.
McLeod missed all but three games last year after he tore the ACL and MCL in his right knee. During the offseason, he took a pay cut and a year off his deal to stay in Philadelphia. Like most players in his situation, the 28-year-old has stated his intention to be ready for the start of the regular season. Unlike many, he actually has a realistic shot to keep his word due to suffering the injury Sept. 23. Prior to going down, McLeod had missed just two games over the previous five years of his career. That run was quite productive, yielding 76 tackles and more than two passes defended per 16 games played.
McLeod came into 2017 off of a career-high 83 tackles, and despite having never failed to reach 72 in a season, that number dipped to just 54 last year. The 28-year-old also sat out a couple games for the first time in his career, missing Week 3 due to a hamstring strain as well as sitting out the final week as the Eagles geared up for the playoffs. He heads into 2018 with his starting spot intact, and while the Virginia product has been very consistent in his six years in the league, the 28-year-old doesn't contribute much in the way of big plays. Consequently, he has more value in the real-life game than its fantasy counterpart.
McLeod was one of Philadelphia's prized offseason signings last year, plugging into a starting safety role next to Malcolm Jenkins as a theoretical strong safety fit complementing the more free-safety skill set of Jenkins. Despite playing a position normally favorable for tackle production, McLeod totaled just 83 stops while playing 1,014 snaps. Perhaps he might improve on his three interceptions from last year if the Philadelphia pass rush takes a step forward, but McLeod generally appears settled in as a safety who will hover around 80 tackles with middling turnover production.
McLeod was snagged by the Eagles this offseason on a five-year deal and is slated to start at strong safety in the team's secondary. The 25-year-old had three impressive seasons in St. Louis, posting at least 70 tackles, five passes defensed, one interception, and two forced fumbles every year after his rookie season. With just five career picks, his fantasy value may be a bit behind what he brings to the table for the Eagles, but as far as safeties go he's a viable and consistent option.
McLeod has quietly put together a pair of solid seasons for St. Louis, with 70-plus tackles, two interceptions, two forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries in each of those campaigns. He may not be enough of a ball hawk to be a huge IDP contributor, but he rarely has awful games.
McLeod may have had the best season of any Rams defensive backs in 2013, with 79 tackles, two interceptions, two fumble recoveries and two forced fumbles. His job should be the safest of any of the St. Louis defensive backs, and he has decent IDP value at the safety position.
McLeod will back up T.J. McDonald at strong safety to begin the season after tallying 12 tackles in 16 games in 2012.
McLeod is an undrafted rookie who has made a huge impression in the preseason and will likely end up as the club's No. 4 safety.
