Injury Knee - MCL
Est. Return 1/4/2026
2025 Fantasy Outlook
An offseason priority for the Patriots was bolstering the supporting cast of ascending second-year quarterback Drake Maye. With the No. 4 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, the team did just that by selecting Campbell to solidify the crucial left tackle position. The 6-foot-6, 319-pounder out of LSU has all the tools to step in and protect Maye's blind side from Day 1 of his pro career, in the process fortifying a line that did the signal-caller no favors last season. Will be placed on IR
Head coach Mike Vrabel told reporters Wednesday that Campbell (knee) will be placed on the injured reserve list, Evan Lazar of the Patriots' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Although Campbell hasn't officially been placed on IR yet, Vrabel's comments Wednesday indicate that Campbell will miss at least the Patriots' next four games, with his earliest possible return coming in the Week 18 matchup against the Dolphins. While the 2025 first-round pick is sidelined, Vederian Lowe is expected to start at left tackle.
