Docherty went 71-70-70 through the first three rounds of the event, but he surged 12 spots up the leaderboard during the final round thanks to some fantastic play. He would have been in position to force a playoff with eventual winner Ian Holt had it not been for the former's bogey on the par-5 15th hole. Despite ranking in the bottom half of the field in driving accuracy, Docherty finished T2 in birdies made and in the top-25 in both scrambling and GIR. It was a nice bounce-back outing from the American after missing the cut at The Bahamas Golf Classic last week, and his performance at Abaco tied a career-best finish at a Korn Ferry event.
