A former collegiate All-American at Ole Miss where he won the 2017 Haskins Award, Thornberry is finally slated to embark on his PGA Tour journey as a 27-year-old rookie in 2025 after winning the Korn Ferry Tour Championship in early October. He posted only two top-10s across 25 KFT starts in 2024, but he ranked seventh in putting average and 16th in total birdies. Thornberry recorded a nine-over 80 in the final round of the Butterfield Bermuda Championship to finish tied for 22nd place.

ANALYSIS
Thornberry headed into Sunday's action tied for the lead following three rounds in the 60s, but the wheels came off after a birdie-birdie start as he carded six bogeys, a double bogey and a triple bogey to tumble down the leaderboard. He hit just six fairways and seven greens in regulation Sunday. The PGA Tour rookie has only recorded two individual top-25s this year, although both have come over his last three starts.
