2025 Fantasy Outlook
Villegas came out of nowhere at the end of 2023 to notch a T2 in Mexico and then his first PGA Tour win in Bermuda since the 2014 season. The veteran was not able to carry the momentum into 2024, however, as he made just six cuts in 26 starts with zero top-25 finishes. Villegas ranked outside the top-180 on the PGA Tour in both SG: Total and adjusted scoring average. Because of the win he will still have full status for the 2025 campaign, but there's really nothing to be optimistic about. Hopefully he can put together a few positive showings. Read Past Outlooks

Villegas withdrew from his most recent start at the RBC Canadian Open earlier this month, but he's expected to return Thursday at Detroit Golf Club where he's never placed better than T67 across three career appearances.

Villegas turned back the clock in the fall after a brief stint in the TV booth and and scored a runner-up in Mexico followed by his fifth career PGA Tour victory the very next week in Bermuda. His first PGA Tour win since 2014 puts him in the Masters in 2024 and probably made next season busier than he wouldv'e expected. While it is a great story, we would be foolish to try and project anything too crazy for Villegas in 2024. Outside of that two-week heater the 41-year-old's best finish in 11 starts was a T48 to go along with seven missed cuts.
