Christiaan Bezuidenhout

31-Year-Old Golfer
2025 Fantasy Outlook
Bezuidenhout made the TOUR Championship for the first time in 2024 after a strong season that saw him rack up 12 top-25 finishes. He was able to overcome ranking 144th in SG: Off-the-Tee with strong play through the rest of his bag. The South African was 58th in SG: Approach, 44th in SG: Around-the-Green and 20th in SG: Putting. The driving issues are still a definite concern, especially playing on longer courses, but he's shown to be one of the top putters on Tour for the last few years. As long as the approach play follows then Bezuidenhout should be in for another solid campaign in 2025. Read Past Outlooks
T12 at Oakmont in U.S. Open
June 18, 2025
Bezuidenhout closed with a two-over par 72 in the final round of the U.S Open to finish six-over par and tied for 12th.
ANALYSIS
Bezuidenhout has struggled most of the year particularly with his ball striking. So one would think that the difficult Oakmont CC would not be a good set up for Bezuidenhout to find success. However that was not the case. Bezuidenhout not only gained strokes on the field in his ball striking, but he also gained strokes on the field in SG: Putting and SG: Around the Green. At the end of the tournament Bezuidenhout gained 2.33 strokes in SG: Total. This success led to him carding 72-71-71-72 in his four rounds, ranking T3 for the most pars made for the week, and finishing tied for 12th. Outside of a T4 finish in Phoenix back in February, this was Bezuidenhouts best finish on the year.

Bezuidenhout was unable to build off a solid 2021-22 campaign, posting just one top-10 over 28 events. Nonethless, he still made over two-thirds of cuts and it was enough to retain his card for another season. The South African is held back by his lack of distance off-the-tee and an average iron game, which puts a lot of pressure on his typically reliable short game. Bezuidenhout will likely struggle against stronger fields, meaning he'll need to take advantage of non-signature events at shorter venues.
This past season was Bezuidenhout's first full season on the PGA Tour and he certainly got off to a good start. His numbers are a bit deceiving as he earned over $2.2 million while posting just one top-10, but that top-10 was a runner-up at the John Deere Classic. While that runner-up boosted his numbers, he earned his spot in the top-70 with consistency as he made the cut in 20 of 24 starts this past season. Bezuidenhout is his late-20s and he's had plenty of success around the globe, so it would seem that getting a full year under his belt on the PGA Tour could lead to bigger and better things in year-two. As such, Bezuidenhout deserves a long look in salary cap leagues this season.
Bezuidenhout notched two top-10s during the Korn Ferry Tour Finals to officially earn a PGA Tour card for the 2021-22 campaign, though he's already fairly well known with three international wins in 2020 and a top-50 Official World Golf Ranking. The South African didn't miss a single cut around the globe throughout his first 19 worldwide events played during the 2021 calendar year. He also placed solo-seventh at the Arnold Palmer Invitational in March.
