2025 Fantasy Outlook
Berger is trying to make his way back and prove that he can still be one of the better players in the world even after all the back injuries he has dealt with over the last few years. Prior to the start of 2024, Berger had not played on the PGA Tour since missing the cut at the 2022 U.S. Open. As expected he was pretty rusty, but did show flashes at times with five top-25s, including a runner-up at the RSM Classic. The ball-striking gives reason for optimism as Berger ranked top-15 in total driving and GIR percentage. The short game and putting needs to take a big jump forward, however, if he is ever to fully regain his old form. Read Past Outlooks
Another missed cut
Berger carded a two-day total of nine-over at the Memorial Tournament to miss the cut by four strokes.
ANALYSIS
Berger's opening round 81 was the worst score Thursday and an even-par second round wasn't nearly enough for him to see the weekend. He only made four birdies across 36 holes and lost 3.9 strokes on the greens. While it has been a good year overall for Berger, he's come back down with back-to-back missed cuts and has now lost strokes putting in five consecutive tournaments.

Berger was troubled by the injury bug in 2022, dealing with a persistent back injury that saw him last tee-it-up at the U.S. Open in June in which he missed the cut. When healthy, he's shown that he's one of the best players in the game due to his superb iron play. It's likely we won't see Berger until 2023, but we wouldn't be surprised to see him make his way back into the top-10 in the world, if healthy.
