2025 Fantasy Outlook
The 22-year-old Spaniard was the second-youngest member of the LIV Golf league in 2024, beaten only by 20-year-old Caleb Surratt of Legion XIII. The age didn’t seem to be a negative for Puig, however, as he managed to improve on his 2023 outing by finishing 26th in the LIV Golf individual season standings with 39.91 points, thanks in large part to his T3 finish in Houston. Puig received a special invitation to the PGA Championship and earned a spot at the U.S. Open Championship and The Open Championship, though he only managed to make the cut at the U.S. Open Championship (T55). Puig is not guaranteed to be in the field for any major in 2025 and will have to earn his way into those special events as he did in 2024. Read Past Outlooks
Strong finish to 2025 LIV season
Puig carded a five-under 66 in the final round at LIV Golf Indianapolis to finish tied for fourth to end the regular season 10th in the individual standings with 85.48 points.
ANALYSIS
Puig's best round came Saturday with an eight-under 63, though he mostly played spectator in the final round as he was paired up with Jon Rahm and Joaquin Niemann, who were battling for the LIV Golf Individual Championship. Puig managed to finish in the top-10 of the individual season standings and has improved on his overall play since joining the league in 2022. He has yet to win a LIV Golf tournament, but he did score points in every single event he played this season (including three top-5 finishes) and ranked fourth in both driving distance and eagles made, fifth in putts per hole and top-15 in birdies made and scrambling opportunities. Puig will represent the third-seeded Fireballs GC at the Team Championship at LIV Golf Michigan this weekend alongside Josele Ballester, Abraham Ancer and captain Sergio Garcia.
