2025 Fantasy Outlook
Buckley was a player to be excited about after his 2022-23 season in which he qualified for the FedExCup Playoffs and made nearly $3 million. That all came crashing down in 2024 when he missed 18 cuts and only had a pair of top-25 finishes. Buckley was able to save everything, however, with a clutch performance at Q-School where he finished second and earned back his PGA Tour card for 2025. The talent is still there with the 28-year-old, but 166th in SG: Total is not going to get it done again. Hopefully he can use his Q-School triumph as momentum into early 2025 and get off to a solid start to the campaign. Read Past Outlooks

2022
Through two seasons on the PGA Tour, Buckley's seasons have consisted of clusters where he plays well and ones where he doesn't. Unfortunately, a two of those clusters have come during the fall. On the bright side, one of his clusters came during a five-week stretch in late spring this past year, so there's hope that he can compete against the best competition out there. He didn't play well this past fall though, so that could be a sign of things to come in 2024. At this point, Buckley doesn't appear to be a breakout candidate this season.
Buckley's rookie season on Tour was met with mixed results as he started out strong with a pair of top-10s in his first three starts but never recorded another one thereafter. He did show a combination of length and accuracy with driver to rank 13th in strokes-gained off-the-tee but ranked worse than 150th in strokes-gained around-the-green and putting. He'll need to shore up that area for more consistent results, but the tools are clearly there.
Buckley used a T4 at the Korn Ferry Tour Championship to earn his first PGA Tour card while also ascending to a career-best 244th in the Official World Golf Ranking ahead of the fall series. The 25-year-old ranked third on the Korn Ferry Tour in ball striking and ninth in GIR percentage in 2020-21, so he could gain traction in daily fantasy formats as a potential sleeper, though inexperience is a factor.
