2025 Fantasy Outlook
Rose peaked at No. 1 in the OWGR in 2018 and he followed that season with a strong showing in 2019, but after that it was a rough few years. He found his form again in 2023 and he managed to play well enough in 2024 to remain a top-50 type player, but at the age of 44, you have to wonder how long he's got. His dip in 2020 could be attributed to the chaos surrounding COVID, but struggles in the years that followed are a bit of a mystery. Though he appears to have found his old form, the battle against Father Time will likely win out sooner than later. As such, his ceiling is more limited than it was just a few years ago, which makes for a tough sell as a salary cap candidate. Read Past Outlooks
T30 at Caves Valley
Rose closed with a two-over 72 on Sunday at the BMW Championship to finish four-over and tied for 30th.
ANALYSIS
Rose gained 2.6 strokes on approach en route to five birdies during the final round, but he also tallied three bogeys and two doubles while losing 3.7 strokes with the flat stick Sunday. He ultimately finished his week at Caves Valley ranked 12th among the field in SG: APP, but Rose lost four strokes off the tee as well. Landing fourth in the FedExCup standings, Rose advances to the TOUR Championship for the first time since 2019.

Rose hit #1 in the world during the 2017-2018 season and he followed that up with another strong season, but then the rug was pulled and he struggled for three consecutive years. Rose broke out of that funk this past season with a win at Pebble Beach and a total of five top-10s, but at 43, it's fair to wonder how much he has left in the tank. His game fell off the map just a few years ago and it could happen again. While I don't expect a huge drop off this season, I can't imagine he'll improve upon his numbers this season either.
