The amateur from Norway was not someone who many would have figured would finish in the top-15 of the Genesis Scottish Open. But after a second round five-under par 65 on Friday, he certainly added his name to the mix of contenders. Reitan relied heavily on his approach play all week, but particularly in that second round where he gained 3.195 shots on the field in SG: Approach, ranking third in the field in the second round. It was only natural for Reitan to come down to earth in the third and final rounds. Still Reitan was able to finish 68-69 on the weekend, which allowed Reitan to capture his first top 15 finish in professional tournament as an amateur.
