2025 Fantasy Outlook
Kanaya is a seven-time winner on the Japan Tour and a former top-ranked amateur in the world. He will be a PGA Tour rookie in 2025 that has already appeared in 11 majors and previously cracked the top-50 of the OWGR. Kanaya got his shot at PGA Tour Q-School and made the most of it by finishing third and earning a card at age 26. There are valid questions on how Kanaya's game will translate to a full season on the PGA Tour, but he is wise beyond his years and is one of the best Japan has to offer. Read Past Outlooks
Moves into top-100
Kanaya shot a one-over 72 on Sunday at the Butterfield Bermuda Championship to finish in a share of third place.
ANALYSIS
Kanaya headed into the final round just one shot off the lead, and he got off to a good start with two birdies in the first four holes to tie the lead. He cooled off thereafter, however, carding four bogeys across the next 10 holes and ultimately finished two back. Nevertheless, it was a much needed result for the 27-year-old, who climbed from 120th to 99th in the FedExCup Fall Standings as he looks to finish inside the top-100 to secure his Tour card for 2026.
