Tom Kim

23-Year-Old Golfer
2025 Fantasy Outlook
After racking up nearly $8 million in the 2022-23 season, Kim barely topped $4 million in the 2024 campaign and failed to reach the top-50 in the FedExCup. That means he is not going to be exempt for all of the Signature Events in 2025, but he's got a good chance to play his way in or receive an invite from a sponsor. Kim had just two top-10 finishes on the PGA Tour last season, a T4 at the RBC Canadian Open and a runner-up at the Travelers Championship. The 22-year-old had largely similar SG: Off-the-Tee and SG: Around-the-Green rankings the last two seasons, but he was significantly off in both SG: Approach and SG: Putting in 2024. Expect Kim to bounce back and find better results in 2025. Read Past Outlooks
T11 finish in Jackson
October 6, 2025
Kim carded a two-under 70 in the final round to finish in a tie for 11th at the Sanderson Farms Championship.
ANALYSIS
Kim fell out of the top-10 on Sunday with an up-and-down final round. That said, it was still a quality finish for him to move from 99th to 92nd in the FedExCup standings. Kim, who many people had pegged to be a superstar on the PGA Tour a couple years ago, has really struggled in 2025 and put him in a position where he might not have full status for 2026. This finish could go a long way to help that. Kim will be in the field for the Baycurrent Classic next week in Japan where he will hope to gain more points on the cutoff.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2024
2023
Kim secured two wins in 2022-23, both at the Shriners Children's Open. He also impressed with a T8 at the U.S. Open and T2 at the Open Championship. The 21-year-old might not have the ideal length to be one of the top players in the world, but he has proven hil ability bto make up for it with the irons and on the greens. Kim was 10th in SG: Approach and 21st in Putts per GIR last season. He is not afraid to play a ton of events and has been consistently in the mix with a 55 percent top-25 rate. Expect to see a similar season in 2024.
Kim burst on the scene this summer as a 20-year-old. He was a standout at the Scottish Open finishing solo third and then a few weeks later became the second-youngest winner on the PGA Tour since WWII with his victory at the Wyndham Championship. Kim would unfortunately just miss out on the Tour Championship, but there is so much potential here to tap into here when he gets a full season on the PGA Tour. He is a fairways and greens machine who would have graded top-20 if he had enough rounds in key categories like SG: Approach, SG: Tee-to-Green, birdie average and scoring average.
