2025 Fantasy Outlook
Hatton was the second-biggest name to jump ship from the PGA Tour to LIV Golf last season, and the Englishman ended up joining the other defector, Jon Rahm, on Legion XIII. Hatton’s brash and curse-riddled commentary could easily be picked up on the mics and by the fans, but nonetheless, he was one of the top performers of the LIV Golf League in 2024. He finished fourth in the individual season standings with 161.49 points, won LIV Golf Nashville in June and accrued points in all but one tournament (Greenbrier). Hatton did fairly well in the majors, with his ninth-place finish at The Masters being his best outings of the four (he finished T63 at the PGA Championship, T26 at the U.S. Open Championship and missed the cut at The Open). Hatton should be in the field for all four majors in 2025. Read Past Outlooks
Falls out of contention in Dallas
Hatton shot an even 72 in the final round at LIV Golf Dallas to finish in a four-way tie for fifth.
ANALYSIS
Hatton started the tournament slowly, but he caught on fire in the second round with a seven-under 65 to enter Championship Sunday four shots back of the clubhouse lead. With Patrick Reed struggling on the front nine, Hatton surged to the top of the table with a two-under front nine, but his hard work was outdone by a double bogey on the par-4 12th. He entered the par-4 18th in a five-way tie for the top of the leaderboard, but he made an untimely bogey to miss out on a chance for the second LIV Golf title of his career. It was a disappointing finish for Hatton, who scored his second top-5 finish at a LIV Golf tournament this season and vaulted to 16th in the individual season standings with 50.86 points. Next up is LIV Golf Andalucia on July 11, where he finished solo third in 2024.

It was another strong season for Tyrrell Hatton, but unfortunately he is still sitting on a lone PGA Tour win in 2020 at Bay Hill. Hatton only missed one cut in 21 starts in 2022-23 and finished top-six on seven occasions. The Englishman doesn't really have any weaknesses and shines on the greens, ranking top-10 in putting over the last two seasons. Hatton certainly has the upside to have a $10 million year, but he likely will need to visit the winner's circle a couple times to do so.
