2025 Fantasy Outlook
Larsson is coming off an interesting season compared to his past performances. His seven goals and 28 points across 82 games with Seattle was on the high end in terms of what he’s shown he can do offensively, but his 104 hits and 31 PIM represented his lowest and second-lowest totals, respectively, since 2014-15. That’s concerning because what value Larsson has in fantasy is tied to his versatility. If the 32-year-old (33 on Nov. 12) is declining in terms of physicality, then there’s not enough here offensively to get excited about. That said, his results were enough of an anomaly in a career of gritty play to make a rebound seem probable. It would not be surprising if he's back over 50 PIM and 150 hits next season, and if your league counts blocks (he had 148 last season),that’s another category he should be a net positive in. Posts helper in victory
Larsson registered an assist, four hits and three blocked shots in Thursday's 3-1 win over the Ducks.
ANALYSIS
Larsson set up defense partner Vince Dunn's opening goal at 2:21 of the first period. While Larsson's on the scoresheet in the first game of the season, he won't be the most reliable scorer on a blue line that features Dunn and Brandon Montour. Look for 100-plus hits and blocked shots with a point total in the 25-30 range for Larsson this season, which is enough all-around production to make him valuable in deeper formats.

Again serving in a top-pairing role for the Kraken, Larsson saw his offensive numbers dip significantly. He managed just 18 points in 81 games, a far cry from the 33 points in 82 games he posted the year prior. Larsson was his usual productive self in terms of hits (162) and blocked shots (151), but it's going to be difficult to rely on scoring from the big Swede on a year-by-year basis considering he gets no power-play time. Larsson has durability on his side, having missed exactly one game (for personal reasons) the past four years, but he's nothing more than a late-round fantasy pick in formats which value hits and blocks.

Latest Fantasy Rumors

Joining Team Sweden
Larsson will participate in the 2025 IIHF World Championship with Sweden, Alison Lukan of the Kraken Hockey Network reports Wednesday.
ANALYSIS
Larsson missed out on the Swedish roster for the 4 Nations Face-Off and would need to edge out a talented group of defensemen that includes the likes of Victor Hedman and Erik Karlsson to make the 2026 Winter Olympic squad. While Larsson won't compete with that duo when it comes to offensive upside, he should provide solid shutdown defensive work for Sweden at the World Championship.
