Wilsby got his first taste of NHL action in 2024-25, recording a goal, five points, six PIM, 33 shots, 18 hits and 17 blocks in 23 appearances with Nashville. He didn’t play past Feb. 3 due to an upper-body injury, but Wilsby will be in the mix for a spot on the Predators’ Opening Night roster if he’s healthy. If he’s able to get a regular spot on the third pairing, then he might produce 10-20 points this campaign. Just don’t expect more than that -- even in the AHL, his offense has been somewhat limited with 10 goals and 44 points in 146 career regular-season outings, which translates to 25 points per 82 games. Wilsby is questionable for Friday's tilt in Colorado. The defenseman snapped a 10-game scoring drought Tuesday with an assist in a 4-3 loss in Edmonton. Wilsby has a goal and six assists in 36 games this season. If he is unable to play Friday, look for Nicolas Hague (illness) to possibly enter the lineup.
