2025 Fantasy Outlook
Greer compiled six goals, 17 points, and 86 shots while leading the Panthers with 130 PIM and 222 hits in 81 games during the 2024-25 regular season. He added three points and 53 hits in 16 playoff appearances. Greer became a fixture on the fourth line in his first season in South Florida. Despite averaging a mere 9:36 of ice per contest, he provided plenty of physicality. However, he may not bring enough to the table in other categories to warrant much fantasy attention outside the deepest of banger leagues. Read Past Outlooks

Rare goal in win
Greer got a goal in a 3-2 win over Chicago on Tuesday.
ANALYSIS
Greer was on the doorstep and lifted a rebound under Spencer Knight's blocker arm in the first period. The 28-year-old Greer is the epitome of the role player -- his best regular season came last year with 17 points (six goals, 11 assists), 130 PIM and a whopping 222 hits. If he can replicate that type of output, Greer may provide you with occasional value in deep leagues because of those muscle categories.

Greer had six goals, 12 points, 35 PIM and 100 hits in 59 contests while averaging 8:50 of ice time with the Flames in 2023-24. His penalty minutes were way down from his 114 with Boston in 2022-23, which on the one hand showed some maturity, but it also took away the one thing that made him statistically noteworthy from a fantasy perspective in the past. If he can't be counted on to generate PIM, then his fantasy appeal will be very limited going forward.

Latest Fantasy Rumors

Out Wednesday?
Greer, who is dealing with a lower-body injury, didn't participate in Florida's optional morning skate Wednesday ahead of Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Finals in Edmonton, Renaud Lavoie of TVA Sports reports.
ANALYSIS
That might be an indication that Greer won't play in Wednesday's clash against the Oilers. Jesper Boqvist is likely to draw into the lineup if Greer, who has two goals and three points across 12 postseason games this year, is unable to play.
