Iafallo has gotten top-six minutes for most of his career, but he's not a skilled forward and consequently doesn't end up helping fantasy managers much. He had 11 goals and 27 points across 82 regular-season contests with the Jets in 2023-24, and the 30-year-old has never recorded more than 43 points in a campaign. He's not an aggressive player either, so he shouldn't be on your radar in terms of PIM or hits. If you're in a deep enough league where a forward who can provide 25-35 points without offering much else is worth grabbing, then Iafallo at least has the benefit of being a relatively safe add in that scoring range, but outside of that, he's not worthy of consideration. Iafallo opened the scoring 58 seconds into the game and added a power-play tally in the second period. The 31-year-old is getting a chance in a larger role during Gabriel Vilardi's (upper body) absence -- Iafallo has been playing on the top line at even strength. With five goals and an assist over his last 10 outings, Iafallo is showing his scoring touch. He's at 13 goals, 26 points, 90 shots on net, 53 blocked shots, 40 hits and a plus-19 rating over 73 contests. He's worth a look as a streaming option in most fantasy formats.

Iafallo was off to a hot start last year with five points in four contests before a lower-body injury cost him 23 games. He finished the year with 14 goals and 36 points in 59 games but saw his role with the Kings take a dip; after averaging 19:01 of ice time over the previous three seasons, Iafallo averaged just 16:18 of ice time during the 2022-23 campaign. The 29-year-old forward was dealt to Winnipeg as part of the Pierre-Luc Dubois trade this offseason. Iafallo has scored at least 13 goals and 30 points in five straight seasons and could've surpassed his career high of 43 points last year. He'll maintain a middle-six role with the Jets and should continue his consistent scoring pattern.
Iafallo returned as a middle-six option for Los Angeles a season ago, finishing with scoring numbers (17 goals, 37 points in 79 games) right in line with what we saw from him the prior three years. Iafallo's greatest improvement came in terms in shots on goal. He fired 215 pucks on opposing goaltenders after never finishing with 148 shots in any prior year. Iafallo should have an excellent chance of cracking the 20-goal plateau this coming season if he continues with that type of volume in the shot department. It still likely won't be enough for him to carve out fantasy value in standard formats, but he's a useful player for the Kings.
Iafallo took a step forward in 2020-21, posting a career-high 19:53 of ice time per game. The 27-year-old winger has earned a place as part of the Kings' top-six forwards, and he was rewarded with a four-year extension in April that locks him in as part of the core going forward. With that in mind, he's likely to begin 2021-22 on the wing of Anze Kopitar, which gives Iafallo a high floor. The New York native can be expected to produce at a 40-point pace with the potential to challenge for 50 if he remains on the top power-play unit. He won't add much physicality (26 hits, four PIM last season), but he'll carry solid value in standard formats with an emphasis on scoring and shot production.
In his third NHL campaign, Iafallo once again made modest gains in his production, setting career highs with 17 goals and 43 points. He was even better over the final month of the season, racking up 11 points in the Kings' final 13 games as he thrived skating alongside Anze Kopitar at even strength and on the power play before the league suspended play. The former college star at Minnesota-Duluth has plus speed and a strong two-way game, and while he may be somewhat miscast as a top-line winger, a lack of talent on the rebuilding roster gives him little competition for that premium placement in the short term. Iafallo will take aim at the 20-goal and 50-point plateaus in 2020-21.
Iafallo put together a solid sophomore NHL campaign last year, and his 15 goals and 33 points were perhaps a little more impressive than they seem on the surface considering the turmoil around him. The 25-year-old doesn't have elite offensive upside by any means, but the undrafted forward out of Minnesota-Duluth plays a high-effort, two-way game, and he's fueled by the kind of compete level every team needs. If he sees regular shifts with Anze Kopitar, Iafallo could set another career high in points this season. However, his best fit in the long run is as a middle-six forward who adds some scoring juice to a checking line, or some grit to a scoring line.
Iafollo showed some promise in his rookie season, scoring 25 points and getting a chance on the Kings' top line. However, he wasn't ready for the responsibility and only managed six points in the final six weeks of the season, disappointing fantasy owners who carried him at the end. He's only 24 years old, so the potential is definitely still there for Iafallo to become a valuable option for fantasy owners. However, at the moment, he's likely much more valuable in dynasty leagues and should only be a waiver-wire pickup in most season-long leagues.

Iafallo is expected to cost the Jets more than his current $4 million cap hit on his next deal, which could be more than the club is willing to pay -- especially since Mason Appleton will also need a new deal this offseason. While the cap is going to go up, Iafallo's 20 points in 61 games this season might already be more expensive than the Jets want to pay him, so fantasy managers should probably anticipate the 31-year-old winger hitting the open market in July.
