2025 Fantasy Outlook
Tuch set career highs in 2022-23 with 36 goals and 79 points across 74 appearances. His production decreased to 22 markers and 59 points in 75 outings in 2023-24, but he bounced back last season with 36 goals and 67 points over 82 games. His 18.4 shooting percentage in 2024-25 is slightly concerning when measured against his career average of 12.4, but it’s not much higher than his 16.5 percent success rate in 2022-23. What may be unsustainable is his six shorthanded goals last year -- he had never scored more than one in a single season prior -- but it is nice to see him finding ways to be productive in all situations. Tuch should have some extra motivation going into 2025-26 since he’s entering the final campaign of his contract. Look for him to exceed 30 goals and 60 points this season. Read Past Outlooks

Ready to rock
Tuch (undisclosed) will be in the lineup Saturday versus Detroit, according to Paul Hamilton of WGR Sports Radio 550.
ANALYSIS
Tuch missed Thursday's tilt against the Red Wings. He had 36 goals and 67 points across 82 regular-season games in 2024-25 and will be a top-six forward as well as seeing plenty of power-play time in 2025-26.

Tuch accounted for 59 points in 75 games to tie Rasmus Dahlin for the most on the Sabres in 2023-24. The 28-year-old Tuch also ranked fourth on the team with 22 goals. It was a major setback after his breakout season in 2022-23, where he notched 36 tallies and 43 assists in 74 contests. His numbers were affected by the offensive struggles of linemates Tage Thompson and Jeff Skinner after the trio was all over the scoresheet in 2022-23. Skinner signed with Edmonton in the summer, but Tuch and Thompson will be among the leading producers for Buffalo during the upcoming campaign. Still, Tuch could experience difficulties achieving a point-per-game pace in 2024-25.

Could benefit from Kaprizov deal
Tuch should be capable of commanding a $10 million AAV contract from the Sabres after Kirill Kaprizov signed for a $17 million AAV, Mike Harrington of The Buffalo News reports Tuesday.
ANALYSIS
Tuch's next deal was always going to be well above the $4.75 million cap hit he'll earn this year, but Kaprizov's contract sets a new high-water mark for the 2026 UFA class. If Tuch can get over the 40-goal threshold this year, a mark he missed by just four tallies last season, he'll certainly prove himself worth that $10 million AAV payday.
