Holtz had trouble getting into and staying in the Golden Knights' lineup in 2024-25, racking up just 12 points over 53 regular-season appearances. He also didn't play during the postseason. Vegas is always a big player in trades and signings, so Holtz may struggle to crack the lineup again in 2025-26, and even if he plays regularly, he projects as a bottom-six forward. One sign of hope is Holtz's 5.8 shooting percentage last year, which is virtually guaranteed to improve if he gets enough ice time. This was Holtz's second multi-point effort in his last eight games, but he's also been scratched four times in that span. Holtz's reward for his first full NHL campaign -- one in which he racked up 16 goals and 12 assists over 82 games with the Devils -- was a trade to the Golden Knights during the offseason. It's expected to be a fairly lateral move, as both teams have established top-six groups and Holtz has yet to do enough to prove himself anything more than a depth option. That could change, as he's also a 22-year-old winger who's just four years removed from being drafted seventh overall. He'll be an option in deeper fantasy formats with standard scoring, but those in shallower leagues will want to wait and see how much his game grows in Vegas.
