2025 Fantasy Outlook
Gritsyuk was a fifth-round pick of the Devils in the 2019 NHL Entry Draft. He signed a one-year, entry-level contract with the team in May, following five seasons of developing his skills in the KHL. Gritsyuk notched 17 goals and 44 points in 49 regular-season games for SKA St. Petersburg in 2024-25 before adding one goal and four helpers in six playoff outings. The 24-year-old will get every opportunity to stick with New Jersey out of training camp, and he could land a spot as a bottom-six forward. Read Past Outlooks
Gets tying goal in win
Gritsyuk scored a goal in Wednesday's 3-2 win over the Blue Jackets.
ANALYSIS
The Devils needed to come back from a two-goal deficit to get this win, and they did just that with a burst of three tallies in 1:56 during the third period. Gritsyuk had the tying goal in that rally, his first point in five games since he returned from an upper-body injury. He's now at eight goals, 17 points, 80 shots on net, 37 hits and a minus-5 rating over 36 appearances this season, mainly in a middle-six role.

Contender for Calder Trophy?
Gritsyuk looks like he could be a strong contender for the 2026 Calder Memorial Trophy, according to Peter Baugh of The Athletic.
ANALYSIS
Gritsyuk has been productive with the Devils early in the 2025-26 campaign, collecting three assists over his first five appearances. Still, he may need to move up the depth chart from his bottom-six role to match the point totals of his first-year peers as the season progresses.
