2025 Fantasy Outlook
Stevenson should be the Capitals' No. 3 goalie for 2025-26, though playing time will be hard to find as long as Logan Thompson and Charlie Lindgren stay healthy. Stevenson was 18-8-5 with a 2.94 GAA and a .888 save percentage in 33 regular-season games with AHL Hershey last year and also picked up his first NHL appearance in the Capitals' regular-season finale. At 26 years old, he's not a particularly strong prospect for a long-term NHL job, but he'll fill an organizational depth role. Read Past Outlooks
Up with big club
Stevenson has been recalled from AHL Hershey by the Capitals, the team announced Sunday.
ANALYSIS
A busy day of roster moves saw the placement of Charlie Lindgren (upper body) on injured reserve and Stevenson called up to take his place on the roster. The 26-year-old has put up good numbers with AHL Hershey on the year, going 7-4-0 with a 2.54 GAA and a .913 save percentage. Logan Thompson is Washington's starter and is playing great, so with no back-to-back games being played in the next week, it seems unlikely that Stevenson will get into a game if Lindgren's injury isn't long term.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Could make NHL debut Thursday
Stevenson could make his NHL debut during Thursday's regular-season finale in Pittsburgh, Bailey Johnson of The Washington Post reports.
ANALYSIS
Stevenson was called up by the Capitals on Monday, and he appears likely to tend the twine in Thursday's regular-season finale, which would give Charlie Lindgren additional rest ahead of the playoffs. Stevenson has made 33 appearances for AHL Hershey this year, going 18-8-4 with a 2.94 GAA and .888 save percentage. It wouldn't be surprising to see him head back to the minors ahead of the postseason, especially if Logan Thompson, who has been dealing with an upper-body injury, is cleared to return.
