A bottom-six wrecking ball, Smith posted nine goals, 14 assists, 235 hits and 63 PIM while averaging 13:41 of ice time over 80 regular-season contests. He's a good fit with a Predators team that values grit down the lineup, but that hardly makes him a reliable fantasy producer. Smith's ice time is likely to take a hit following Nashville's signings of Steven Stamkos and Jonathan Marchessault, which will push most forwards down a spot in the lineup. Smith's still got value as a physical presence and penalty killer, but most fantasy managers don't need to prioritize drafting him this fall.
